Hints of Ancient Apulia: Mirai Sofa by Natuzzi Italia
The new Mirai sofa by Natuzzi Italia, the product of a collaboration with designer Andrea Steidl, draws inspiration from the majestic architecture of Apulia in the 13th century. Its sculptural wooden structure recalls Federician castles. Mirai looks like a harmonious set of irregular shapes, with the back and armrests tilted inward.
The sofa was launched during the recent Milan Design Week. Its architectural but warm and welcoming look creates an optical illusion, with lines that appear to diverge, but then come together to form a creative texture that seems to be moving.
Andrea Steidl emphasizes that Mirai embodies the propensity for the future, strongly reflecting the ideas of Frederick II and his genius in Apulian architecture. It combines "tradition and futuristic perspectives".
This impressive sofa will enhance even the most neutral space to become the stylish centrepiece of any room.
