New Pieces for Baxter's Outdoor Gallery by Paola Navone
The Baxter Outdoor Gallery in Via Turati 2, Milan has a new look! It’s a place designed specifically to showcase Baxter’s exclusive open air collections.
The store has been redecorated in blue, with the new design proposals by Paola Navone. Guests can admire some of her creations, Arizona, Manila and Elephant, immersed in a cosy Mediterranean atmosphere. The designer thinks these pieces "invite people to enjoy the pleasure of an outdoor siesta".
The elegant, bewitching Arizona Sofa has padding in multi-density polyurethane foam and water-repellent viscose fibre, and a pleasant springy seat of interwoven rubber-coated elastic ribbons.
The Manila chair has a splendid look, thanks to its functional and harmonious design, soft curved lines, and the use of fine materials. Its design has given it an iconic aura. The soft woven pattern of the Manila armchair is a triumph of techniques, and the wicker in its frame is famous for its strength, flexibility and lightness.
Visitors can also admire the Elephant sofa, with its soft padding that appears as it were suspended: a mix of aesthetics, solidity and unparalleled style. Visible seams highlight the expert craftsmanship, and quilting on the seat and backrest adds a touch of refined elegance.
During Milan Design Week 2024, Paola Navone also presented the new outdoor fabric for Baxter: Camo Blu. This pattern combines shades that you will find in Via Turati 2, ranging from dark slate blue to midnight blue, which evoke the changing night skies.
The store in Via Turati presents this dreamy world on two levels. The new set-up "between heaven and earth" focuses on where the solidity of the materials meets the lightness of the forms, and hand-painted graphics on the walls connect the entire colour palette. Soft Baxter leather blends with materials from other contexts - wicker, African wood, lava stone, etched copper - to communicate indoor comfort to outdoor spaces.
